Help Wanted
Two years ago, our beloved convention chariot was stolen. A page about the unfortunate event will soon be posted. Our club leaders have decided that now is the time to create another masterpiece of speed. If you want to help build a new chariot contact the president.National Latin Exam Fees
Anyone interested in taking the National Latin Examine in the Spring must pay a fee of $4.00 by the end of this semester. Participating in the NLE will get you extra credit. If you do really well, you may even receive a medal.
You may now obtain extra credit by attending the the IMAX screening of Greece: Secrets of the Past. Showings will last until March 2, 2007. For more information, visit http://www.memphismuseums.org/imax.htm.

Saturnalia is Coming
Each year, before Winter Break, the club celebrates Saturnalia, a Roman celebration. Join in the celebration during our last club meeting of the festival. There will be food and drinks as well as games.
Of course Mr. Nabors will crown the next king or queen of Saturnalia at the end of the celebration. You never know, it could be you!
Angel Tree Donations
During the holiday season, CHS JCL tries to promote the spirit of giving since people are generally more generous around this time of year. All members should make an effort to donate some amount of money to Angel Tree. The club is sponsoring two angels this year. If you are interested in running for election, the sign up sheet has been posted in Mr. Nabors room. The positions are president, vice president, secretary, and historian. Only run, if you are willing to put in the time and effort it takes to be successful at a particular position.

New Members
The throng of freshmen that have shown interest in Latin is very promising for club membership. The Latin I classes even ran out of textbooks. Apparently, the 2006 orientation had a prolific affect.
Old members should brace themselves for this welcomed flood.
New Site
As you can see, there has been a drastic design change on this site. In order to make it more compliant and aesthetically pleasing, I decided to strip it down and start over, retaining only a few design elements of the old site. I hope you enjoy the new look.Feeling nostalgic? Visit the old site.
